Hosting email comes free with most hosting plans. It works, it costs nothing extra, and its limits are real: modest storage, weaker spam filtering, and deliverability that depends on your host’s reputation rather than yours.
Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 is a paid mailbox per person per month, with the storage, calendar, documents and search you already know. You are paying for reliability and for someone else to keep it out of spam.
Zoho Mail sits between them and is often the sensible answer for a small Indian team that wants proper email without per-user Workspace pricing.

Why Business Email Goes to Spam — and Why Switching Providers Rarely Fixes It
This is a common reason people ask for help, and the usual assumption about it is wrong.
Mail lands in spam because the receiving server cannot confirm you are allowed to send from your domain. That confirmation lives in three DNS records — SPF, DKIM and DMARC. If they are missing or half-configured, moving from one provider to another changes nothing, because the new provider inherits the same broken records.
Fixing the DNS is the actual job. It is part of every setup we do, and we send real test mail and confirm it lands in the inbox before calling it done.
When You Should Not Pay for This
If you are one person sending a few emails a day and your hosting already includes email, use it. It is inside what you already pay, and per-user pricing is money you do not need to spend yet. The point that changes it is not growth on paper: it is the first time a client says they never received something, or a second person needs their own address.
