What Changes When Booking Moves Off WhatsApp
Most businesses that ask us for a booking website are not short of enquiries. They are short of the time it takes to answer them — the same three messages, the same available-slot question, the same reminder call the evening before. A booking page does not bring in more customers by itself. What it does is stop the easy bookings from needing a person.
The change owners notice first is usually not the bookings at all. It is the no-shows, because an automatic reminder goes out whether or not anybody remembered to send it.
Rent a Platform or Build It Into Your Site?
Both are legitimate, and we will say plainly when renting is the better answer for you. A hosted platform is quick and cheap to start, and someone else runs it — but your booking data and customer list live in their account, and the monthly fee grows with your volume. A system built into your own site costs more up front, nothing per booking, and keeps the customer on your domain, which matters when you are paying for ads to send them there.
If you are still finding out whether your customers will book online at all, rent one first. Our guide to an online appointment booking system works through that decision, including what such a system must get right before launch and when a plain contact form serves you better.
