This is worth stating plainly, because mismatched expectations are the most common reason people are disappointed by maintenance anywhere.

A maintenance plan keeps what you have working: updates applied safely, backups taken, the site up, security watched, small things fixed. It is not a development retainer. A Backup You Have Never Restored Is Not a Backup
